Title or Location: At home in my studio.
Watercolour painting on 140lb cold press paper. Having painted some brown hens at art class I was ready indulge in some more vibrant colours. I found a suitable image on a free pic site. I sketched the cockerel onto my Bockingford paper and then painted wet on dry. A little spattering at the end added some interest to the ground. The darks were made with a mixture of ultramarine, crimson and burnt umber.

Title or Location: Mystic
"Mystic "is an intuitive work in acrylic on canvas and measures 61cm sqr. It begins life as a few marks on a blank canvas and from then on each mark suggests the next one. This is how all my paintings evolve. I am obsessed with colour and composition which seems to come naturally to me. I know when a work is finished because it seems to let me know " there is nothing more to do here, it is time to move on" I listen to my work now, instead of my inner critic and it is wonderful to know I have cre

I work with a doctor that has dachshunds and she commisioned me to paint her pups! Done in acylics 15 in x 30 in on canvas. It was fun painting this and I put a lake tahoe background as the pups were actually in a pen and the owner has a cabin in Tahoe and wanted a sun setting sky.

Title or Location: ?Red Love?
This piece depicts a woman with an exaggerated highlight, giving off the impression that she is basking in the sun. It is ultimately a tribute to the powerful black women I grew up around, creating and being part of the inspiration for why I create. It is a mixed media portrait, utilizing mostly colored pencils and pens.

Title or Location: Wildlife Christmas baubles
Hi, I am Carolyn of C.Walsh.art located in Southampton. I have always loved art and decided to started painting again around four years ago after a long break. I mainly paint on wood inspired by the beauty of nature using acrylic paint but during the festive season I love painting on these ceramic baubles bringing gorgeous wildlife to your tree. I love to use reclaimed materials where possible and try to be environmentally friendly.

Title or Location: A Place to Breathe
I wanted to create a place of tranquility and quiet. A retreat into nature where you can take a moment to breathe. There is a hush over the valley. The storm is over and the water quietly continues on its way much as it has always done. It is here I invite you to stay for a moment or two and rest.
